We participated by handing out information and walking in the Suicide prevention awareness walk that started at the High School and ended at the gazebo with a balloon release. Here is our live video from the day of.
“Hello and good afternoon here on this lovely Friday, September 25th. We are here today in honor of suicide prevention with suicide prevention daily. We’re here in Sunnyside at the Gazebo and we are here to spread important information to different age groups. If you wanted to come out, we have kids and adults out here painting, writing and we have all the stuff to make posters in support of the cause and to send a message to whoever may need it. Because sometimes writing it down and getting it out can be the best thing we can do. We are going to meet up at the high school at 6 o’clock and we are going to walk back to the gazebo together with our signs. Then, we are going to do a meeting and we are going to have a guest speaker to talk about suicide prevention. You can come out and look at some of the resources we have (Community Health Plan of Washington, United Family Center) and we will be down here until 6 o’clock.”
