On August 29 we passed out about 1,900 boxes of food containing apples, onions and potatoes which was donated by USDA's Farmers to Families program. We had LVFC, Community Health Plan of Wa, Comprehensive Healthcare, Missionaries from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Coalition members volunteering. We also had SSD Security present. This event would not be successful without Opioid Project WA! They put in countless hours to create bags for our attendees & helped hand them out! The bags included opioid packets for families to do the activities together. The first 250 people received pill pods to lock up their medications. We started setting up around 6am and already had cars lining up. We were done distributing boxes around 11:50am.
